Life can be really hard and get you down, you may be struggling currently with relationships. Its an inside game first always. Thoughts first, then the outer world changes.

This doesn’t mean that you just accept whatever life throws at you and resign to an unhappy relationship. By doing a few simple things everyday, you can keep your relationship fire burning and make sure that your relationship only gets better with time. Below are 10 tips to improve relationships that you can start using today.

10 Tips To Improve Relationships:

1. Make Dates:

This especially works for you if you are always busy and barely spend any time together. You can make dates for dinners, games, movies and other activities you have always enjoyed doing together.

While scheduling a date for various activities may sound unromantic, the truth is that it is really effective when it comes to improving relationships especially because it allows you to have some alone time while doing things that can only strengthen your relationship.

2. Go To Bed Together:

While this sounds easy enough, the truth is that most couples do not go to bed together even when they are both in the house at the same time. If you like to watch a movie before bedtime and your partner is more of an early bed bird, you will both lose touch over time as you will barely get to have enough time to catch up and know what is happening in each other’s lives.

Spending some quality time just before bedtime is one of the surest ways to improve your relationship even if you both have busy schedules and cannot get much time to catch up during the day. You should work to synchronize your bedtime even if you will have to give up on that one thing you like to do before you hit the sack.

3. Say Thank You More Often:

Well, we all like being appreciated and this is no different when it comes to your partner. Remember all the things your partner did for you that made you really thankful? Do not forget to say thank you even if they have done those things for years. You can never grow tired of being appreciated so do the same for your partner and offer your sincere appreciation whenever possible.

4. Go Out Together:

Well, we all know that going out together feels great but with many other things to be taken care of getting the time to step out together can be an uphill task. Things get even worse when there’s kids involved. If you rarely go out with your partner, then its time to start doing it again.

Take a weekend trip out-of-town and for once forget about the kids and the many errands. You will cherish the moments you spend out of the house and this will definitely have a positive effect on your relationship. ( This is HUGE)

5. Clear The Air When You Disagree:

It is normal to disagree with your partner every now and then. What is not normal is not talking about it or sweeping things you do not agree with under the carpet. Over time, this will build resentment and your feelings towards your partner will begin to change. Whenever you have a disagreement, talk about it until you come to a friendly agreement. You do not have to wait until things escalate and a fight that may hurt you both ensues.

6. Apologize When You Are Wrong:

Saying your sorry does not hurt especially when your wrong. Apologize whenever you do something that is hurtful or disrespectful to your partner. Doing so will not only show that you are remorseful about your actions but it will also make it certain that you do not take your partner or relationship for granted. (If you really love him/her this should be easy)

7. Learn To Communicate Without Hurting Him/Her:

Communication is the cornerstone of every relationship whether romantic or otherwise. Unfortunately most people do not know how to communicate their expectations and frustrations effectively.

If there are things that you would like your partner to pay attention to or stop doing, let them know and make them understand where you are coming from. While doing so keep your tone in check, avoid being confrontational and above all resist the urge to be condescending and rude whatever the situation. (like attracts like)

8. Be Present And Pay Attention:

Having dreams is great and it is even better if you are working hard to fulfill those dreams. Forgetting about the now will however have a harmful effect on your relationship and your health in general considering just how uncertain the future is. Live in the moment, enjoy every second you spend with your partner and never let your partner feel like they are in the relationship alone.

9. Keep Your Sex Life Exciting:

Sex in a relationship is very important. If your sex life has taken a turn for the worse, then it’s time to spice things up and bring back the exciting feeling that you once experienced. If your sex has become routine, try to do it in different areas around the house. You can also revamp your bedroom to make it more visually appealing and sex friendly.

If you barely have time to get intimate any more, then scheduling sex dates will work great for you. Bring those candles back, wear that sexy lingerie or have sex on the kitchen counter (why not lol). Just do whatever you can to bring back the excitement in your life if you want your relationship to stand the test of time.

10. Say “I Love You” Once Everyday:

Reaffirm your love for your partner everyday to enjoy a long and happy relationship. They will appreciate this more than you know. I have told my wife I love you everyday and she freaking loves it.

Conclusion:

From reading above, it is clear that it’s often the small things that most of us ignore that make all the difference where relationships are concerned. Never give up on each other be 1000% committed. Because that’s what you promised when you took your vows. Thanks for reading.
